Published by a Catholic press, this work delivers a high-level summary of a particular saint for each day of the year. The summaries are invariably clean and pure, rarely giving much genuine detail of the person's life and background; instead we see only a sanitized, ready for mass consumption (no pun intended) version of the saint's life. Completely insipid.
