Researched this book for Guadalcanal paper for the GCMH program to understand strategic impacts in the Pacific at the beginning of the war before Eisenhower was shifted to Europe. Somewhat helpful book, but did not serve to gain much more understanding than I already had from previous secondary sources on Eisenhower. Read this early in my research before I settled on a research question because it was highly recommended by my previous advisor.
