This version of the book is read through the third person so we are seeing what is going on in the story. I thought I would find that the author Vernam would refer to the Seminole lifestyle in a condescending way, but he did not do that anywhere in the story. I would use this book to illustrate how the Seminoles used to live to fourth-graders in a school curriculum.… (meer)
