LamontCranston: It was widely reported in the 1980s that Contra resupply planes were returning to the US with cocaine or marijuana. Nobody dug deeper than that. What Webb did was trace the specific dealers on the street to their suppliers and then to suppliers importers and specified how their operations were funding the Contra war - and how the CIA were working with these men and had to have known, perhaps even permitted.
