Over mijzelfB.A. in Communication Graphics(Advertising) and Art History.
Yes, I did the time. (M.L.S.,1991) But I got sidelined into IT. Spent a year in Book Arts Master's program.

Over mijn boekenNeed more SHELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A book is a complete package, from dust jacket to binding design, frontispiece to colophon. Nothing ruins a good read like a badly chosen or poorly set typeface. There is not a single book from my childhood that I could not still tell you who was the illustrator--more than I can say for the author of the prose! It is equally important to give authorial attribution to the illustrator of a work.

Would you believe that I only just saw your June message about the Howard Finster book? I apologize. I haven't kept up with my LibraryThing other than posting the books in my library. Not only do I have several of Hoard's books, but some of his art and lots of memories of visits to Paradise Garden in the '80s.
"How did you like "Everything is Miscellaneous"? and if the library starts a non-fiction book club that reads INTERESTING books, are you interested?"

It's on my wishlist, and I haven't been able to get it through ILL. May have to break down and actually buy it. I have read lot about it and a lot of the criticisms against it.

From what I can tell, I agree with a lot of whay he says, but I think that having both a top-down AND bottom-up approach is better than either/or.

I'm interested, but don't have a lot of time available, and my hours constantly shift, so it really depends on when and where the meetings are, physical or online.
Well, not all my volumes. Some are on my wishlist and others are ones I've read but do not own.
Thank you for the 3 books -- I love them!!! I just "thinged" them, what fun. :)
yippee! thank you for the lovely 2 books, I can't wait to see them! :) your reward is this: gratitude! hey, you're up to 501 enteries, way to go!
Wow, p.79, thanks for the memories, I recognize that cute guy! :) btw, the uncanny thing about you mentioning that is the other person in the picture on p.79 I had inquired about to your mum, she found her addy & # in the phone book. We'll be sure to send her an invite to "our upcoming event", so maybe we'll have a little reunion!
I LOVE the flicr pics, the monacle on the clown face painting is so very smart. You sewed the whole thing?! Amazing!!! How many Bratz does it take to open a hermetically sealed acrylic packaging bubble? Such sweet pics! I haven't gotten much into flickr yet http://flickr.com/photos/39077696@N00/, think I might loose sight of daylight if I do.

I don't know about the "Strand" isbn thing, I'll look into it -- are you the one who uploaded the photo? last time I checked it wasn't around. thusly, you rock.

...still on Cloud 9, think I'll take up permanent residence. "Ring in the new year", indeed. :) Sometime soon we should be girly & go shop for bookshelves instead of clothes (tho I do have a dress to hunt for now...) ;)
Greetings, sistah Thingamabrarian! tag, you're it!
