On July the 26th, I split my tag single "bobbin lace" into the two tags "bobbin" and "lace" (see also #30/34 of this thread). But the tag page and tag mash page are still not updated.

See for example this book. It should no longer appear on bobbin+lace but on bobbin, lace.

Yes, the tag mash pages once created a static. I haven't heard if Tim has decided on how old a page should be before it is rebuilt.

Not only the tag mash pages are static, but also the tag pages.

It might be an idea to "queue" update requests when tags are changed or books are added with tags. Store a counter together with each tag and increment that counter each time the tag is removed/added, perhaps also store the date of the last change. Count and date could determine the priority for the refresh. Weigh the update count relative to the absolute count of a tag otherwise niche* tags never get updated.

* Niche tags might be even more obscure than personal tags but nevertheless important for a (limited) community.
