Hi Amber, I was fortunate enough to read an ARC of Witch Song. I loved it. So did my teenage daughter. Thanks for writing such a great book that I feel comfortable enough to let my 14 year old read. Do you plan on writing more about this book and making a series?

I'm so glad you and your daughter enjoyed it! I'm not sure whether I'll make Witch a series. My writing time is pretty limited because of my kids and marketing. I'm trying to finish up my two works in progress before I make a decision, and it's taking longer than I expected.

I feel like someone's conspiring against my writing time. Ugh!

Hi Amber! I have your book on my "to read" list and I couldn't pass up the chance to drop a comment in here. :) One thing that caught my eye with Witch Song was the beautiful cover - how did it come about?

Hi Lissa! I searched through artist portfolios on deviantart.com and got some ideas of what I wanted. I sent 3 concepts to my publisher and they picked one. We choose Eve Venture to do the art. She sent me three mock ups and I chose one of the girls. Then we started tweeking and changing little things until we had it just like we wanted.

What a great peek into the art of covers! I loved your descriptions, your explanations, the look at the first drafts, and the tweaks you made. The final product is stunning.
