I'm looking for a book I read between 2013 and 2019. It's a novel about reclusive women, sisters I believe, who live in a famous old mansion. Details are hazy, but I believe a writer comes to town, interested in the house, meets one of the sisters and gets an interview. The writer becomes involved in their lives. The story flashes back to their younger days and the lost love of one of the sisters, who now seemingly has dementia. The truth about him comes out - I believe he died at the house and no one told her (fell out a window?) In the end, one of the sisters sets the house on fire.

>3 lowelibrary: Thanks much for the replies! I finally found it today. It was The Distant Hours by Kate Morton. The Thirteenth Tale looks good though. I'm going to check that out also. Thanks again!!
