The original Book Barn, built early last century, is the iconic home of our Berkelouw Book Business.

The Book Barn is a stunning piece of architecture, boasting soaring cathedral ceilings with exposed timber beams and scores of bookshelves housing thousands of secondhand, rare and antiquarian books, with a selection of new books.

The barn has recently undergone extensive renovations under the guidance of award winning architects and has been transformed into a versatile space that can also cater for weddings, conferences and social gatherings. The Book Barn also offers a Cellar Door and Bendooley Bar & Grill - our Restaurant where we offer lunch 7 days and dinner on Friday and Saturday nights). Situated amidst our vineyards and with enviable rural views.
The Book Barn sits adjacent to a second barn which accommodates a large state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, staff areas and a private bridal parlour and ensuite – an elegant room that can also be used as a corporate breakout space.

The Book Barn will seat 150 people or can cater for 250 people for a standing event or buffet lunch.

When not in use for weddings or functions, the Book Barn continues to operate as a book shop with a restaurant and cellar door. It is a two-minute drive from the historic village of Berrima and a scenic ten-minute drive to the larger, up-market hamlets of Bowral and Mittagong.

Directions
The Book Barn is located near historic Berrima in the Southern Highlands. It is a short drive from the Sydney Metropolitan area. Once in the Southern Highlands, simply follow the Old Hume Highway from Mittagong and we are located 3kms before Berrima on the right hand side.
