So, maybe it raised an eyebrow or two to use words like "nostalgia" and "natsukushii" in regards to Higurashi when I reviewed the first volume of this arc. I'll answer that I do so because I don't really think the horrible, violent deaths are the point of Higurashi at all. If that was what I actually thought it was about, I wouldn't be interested at all. Higurashi as a whole is about bonds of friendship and a sense of place.

But not this particular book. This specific book is really much more like Umineko -- a supernatural puzzle. I'm not disappointed by the answers, but it's definitely a one-off pair of books. ( )
