This book was a great continuation from book 1 Born at Midnight and I really enjoyed seeing how all the characters and their relationships are growing. I can't wait to see what happens next in Taken at Dusk! ( )
This was a great follow up to Born at Midnight and I liked seeing where the story is heading. I don't like love triangles but it wasn't too bad to get through. Overall it's becoming a great series. ( )
So... second in the series and once again teenage drama abounds. It's not quite as over the top as more of Kylie's powers come to light. There's still an awful lot of mystery around things and her parents are still not a postive part of her life. Some of the changes are quite amusing (e.g. the overnight 'growth spurt') and others are just confusing for everyone. It's still not certain what Kylie is (but it sure as anything is interesting... I just wish she wouldn't be so obsessive about it. Then again, teenage hormones running rampant).
The situation with the ghost in this book annoyed me. It was pretty much telegraphed who the 'she' in question was long before it was officially revealed. For a while I was wondering how the level of obliviousness to the obvious was possible.
Burnett is around more (and he's pretty yummy - bit more of a mature feel so I don't feel quite as squinky thinking about him that way). I'm not really liking the feel of the love triangle that's developing though. It just feels a bit 'not quite right' that these guys are both so 'into her' so suddenly.
