Wooden characters with no emotion what-so-ever. This book reads like an instruction manual on how the rich and famous live. I kept waiting for a plot to develop, but it never happened. a very light and disappointing read. ( )

Finally, Arrington is murdered and the architect is suspected, but he escapes. He then tries to kill Peter, but Joan steps in and saves the day.
