This story had plenty of action but I did not like the heroine. She was inconsistent and I quickly got tired of her poor famous me. The secondary romance was nice but it had a similar conflict to the main romance. Resort owner Travis is immediately attracted to famous model Liana.

Travis North owns a prestigious country club that caters special events for wealthy clientele. He first sees supermodel Liana at a wedding on his property, and although she's wearing a hideous bridesmaid's dress, her beauty is undeniable. She's in town for just two weeks before heading to Europe for work obligations. When she discovers their mutual attraction, she proposes a two-week fling: steamy sex, no strings attached. As you'd expect, things get very complicated....

While staying at Travis's gated property, Liana receives a call from her agent. A young model named Jessie is being stalked by a violent sex offender. She needs a place to stay where her stalker and the paparazzi won't find her. Travis offers to have her stay there, and he puts his security chief, Peter Beck, in charge of taking care of the Victoria's Secret model. The blonde bombshell is surprisingly sweet and innocent, and she and Peter fall instantly in love. He's ruled by his desire to take care of her, and she realizes he's all she's ever wanted--security, family, and love.

While the couples are falling in love, there are quite a few complications. Vandals are destroying Travis's property, and he can't figure out who the culprit(s) is/are. Then, things take on a more serious note as the violence escalate and someone is hurt. Meanwhile, Jessie's stalker has tracked her. Peter's tormented, because he knows she is in danger, but the culprit keeps slipping through his fingers.

This book brings together two very different couples during a two-week span. Both romances are very passionate and sweet. Personally, I prefer Peter and Jessie's story. Theirs was so tender and sweet, and far less complicated. (They did not try to talk themselves out of loving each other.) Travis and Liana, however, seemed to have complications for the sake of extending the plot. The story was very interesting, and I read it in one sitting. The mild suspense regarding the vandals and Jessie's stalker keep it interesting when the lovers' liasons begin to get mundane. While it is a well-written, romantic story, I do not feel it deserves a 5-star rating because: (1) The plot is too predictable (Granted, it is a romance, and we've come to expect a happily-ever-after ending, but there's really not a whole lot of conflict or extenuating circumstances for the characters to overcome. Also, there have been quite a few "friends with benefits" movies and stories lately. This plot line needs to retire.) (2) How many times does the author need to tell us how beautiful the main characters are? The two main female characters are models, and understandably will be attractive. However, it would have been nice not to be reminded constantly that their beauty far surpasses average women. (3) The characters fall madly in love within 2 weeks of knowing each other. In real life, whirlwind romances often do not turn out well. Having lots of sex does not equate fully knowing someone. For some reason, though, it seems that Peter and Jessie know each other better than Travis and Liana.

All in all, it is what you would expect from reading the item description. The author knows how to weave a story that is both romantic and fun. ( )

Did Not Finish this one. I was very disappointed with it, considering it's a Marie Force book & I LOVE her work. I did not enjoy it even a single bit. Reading it seemed like a chore. Maybe I'll finish it some time later.
