The Ojibwe are storytellers. Stories and legends are the way that knowledge is passed down to children. There are three types of Ojibwe stories: creation and migration stories; stories told for amusement; and life lessons told through stories of Nanabohzo. This is a book of life lessons. In the Ojibwe tradition of story telling, these stories are to be told only in the winter, after the first snowfall. - Back cover.
