I read the other two books in this series many years ago when I was in my teens and quite enjoyed them but I don't know if it is because I'm older now or if this one was just dated on so many levels it irritated me on many levels. Firstly, this was clearly written in the 1980's and every fashion mention brought mental images of my childhood and so many badly dressed actors in 80's movies (Not really something I can blame the author for). Secondly, the hero was just a bit of a dick. Thirdly, Sage, the heroine, was trying to prove herself in a male dominated business and still retain her "femininity" - this is something that is still relevant today- but the way she, her thought processes and the other characters were described was just patronising / ewww / dated / cringy. And Finally, the way the hero describes his relationship to a woman who turns out to be his mum is JUST WRONG! While the general themes are still relevant it is interesting to see how we have changed and still not changed. Or I have just grown up. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

This is the 5th book of her that I read. And I must say the more books of SB I read the more I appreciate her writing. I really enjoyed this book, it was hard to put it down.
I would recommend it to people you like a heated romance, though this one is part of a trilogy and gets spoilers to the first two books of the trilogy. ( )
