*Update - Reread 2/13/15*

Finally Ty and Zane are on board and have come to an understanding. The satisfying result is explosively hot, tender, and intense. This was probably the best entry in showcasing how in sync these two are with each other and why they are perfect partners in and out of bed!

I would love to say that all the cards are on the table and they have nothing to hide but that isn't the case. And I have to be honest, I flinched a bit regarding Ty, knowing what I do now. Obviously his sense of duty is strong and we all know the consequences and repercussions of how this plays out. One wonders if Zane too has some big reveals in the final chapter.

These two are the perfect foil to our MC's. As always, it amazes me when witnessing the strength of Ty and Zane's feelings for each other, and I continue to marvel at these two uber tough, alpha men showing their softer sides. In essence this had plenty of action, seriously scorching smex, and continuous swoon worthy moments - all of which should satisfy and keep you coming back for more!

Già prima di iniziare so che questa non sarà una recensione, ma il delirio di una tizia che da giorni ridacchia come una scema e non riesce a togliersi dalla faccia il sorriso beota. Eh, be': cronache di un amore annunciato.

In questo quinto volume della serie abbiamo perso una coautrice, Madeleine Urban, che ha deciso di smettere di scrivere e ha lasciato la serie nelle sole mani di Abigail Roux. Come vi avevo già accennato in Tanti modi per dire... ti leggo, non ero particolarmente preoccupata per questo cambiamento. In effetti, la qualità della serie non ne ha affatto risentito, sebbene abbia avvertito piuttosto chiaramente la mancanza del tocco della Urban. Non so esattamente dirvi in che modo la narrazione sia diversa dai quattro volumi precedenti, ma si sente che c'è qualcosa di diverso.

Ma parliamo dei nostri eroi: Ty e Zane. Che posso dire quando in testa ho unicorni rosa che corrono felici su arcobaleni scintillanti? In D'amore e d'accordo sono così teneri e carini che pensavo mi sarei sciolta sull'e-reader (che è resistente all'acqua, quindi non avrei neanche fatto troppo danno). Ty, oltre ad essere il solito coglione capace di irritare anche i santi, mette su quegli occhioni da cucciolo bisognoso di coccole che riesce a farsi perdonare pure quella fuga che ha reso il finale di Luci e ombre al cardiopalma...

Dal canto suo, Zane, ora che ha finalmente sezionato i suoi sentimenti per Ty e ha dichiarato di amarlo, è alle prese con l'analisi del loro rapporto. È meraviglioso vedere quanto questa relazione sia benefica per entrambi, quanto entrambi abbiano bisogno di questa stabilità affettiva ed emotiva. Prima conoscere Ty, Zane era inavvicinabile, così chiuso in se stesso e perso nel suo dolore e nelle sue dipendenze da non permettere a nessuno di aiutarlo. Non che adesso sia diventato un amicone, ma almeno è presentabile.

In D'amore e d'accordo ritroviamo anche la coppia Cameron/Julian protagonista del crossover La croce del guerriero e ci saranno anche alcune parti narrate dal loro punto di vista. Cameron rimane la piaga sociale che si era dimostrato in La croce del guerriero: al lettore non rimane che sperare che qualcuno lo imbavagli o gli faccia perdere i sensi. Julian, invece, accanto a quella sagoma di Ty, scatena tutto il suo potenziale e vi farà morire dal ridere. I suoi battibecchi con Ty sono epici e m'hanno fatto sganasciare dalle risate.

E giusto per non farci mancare una salutare dose di Grady, fa la sua comparsa (armato di mazza da baseball... e sto ridendo di nuovo al solo ricordo) anche Deuce, il fratello minore di Ty. Questa volta non sarà nei panni dello strizzacervelli, ma del fratellino bisognoso di consigli. Che carino, non vedo l'ora di vedere come evolverà la sua faccenda...

Soprattutto, però, in D'amore e d'accordo ritorna Nick O'Flaherty, che non si era reso esattamente simpatico in Luci e ombre... ma direi che si è fatto ampiamente perdonare in questo quinto volume. Non so se vi basta sapere che ho praticamente sottolineato tutta la parte nella quale Nick e Zane si fanno una bella chiacchierata a quattrocchi, oppure che sono oltremodo felice di sapere che c'è uno spin-off dedicato a O'Flaherty...

Adesso ho la tentazione di iniziare subito il sesto, in barba all'attesa per la traduzione... anche se so che accadrà qualcosa di brutto che si metterà tra Ty e Zane. Lo so. Che sia perché li sgameranno a lavoro o perché salterà fuori qualcosa dal passato di Ty, so che ci sarà buriana. Mmh... forse il sesto può aspettare un altro po'... adesso voglio crogiolarmi nella mia nuvola di felicità... ( )

I adored this book! By far my favorite in the series - and I say it already having read until Touch & Geaux-.

It's is a lot more enjoyable if one has previously read Warrior's Cross, since it's a terrific sequel for that book.

To me, only two small things separate it from a score of 5 stars:

* The key in the mouth of Ty when he and Nick manage to escape of their captivity. However much Nick is who tell it, the fact that there is not not even a slight trail of how Ty provided himself with that key converts the resolution of the problem in something magic. And I don't like "magic" solutions or without logic in realistic contexts.
* The sex scene at Gettysburg Hotel? Longer than necessary, to the point that I found myself wishing its ending.

Anyway a book packed with action and humor with some truly hilarious moments.

And that absolutely delicious twist in the plot toward the ending? Priceless!

Honestly, I was not expecting much from this because I didn't like the last two books of this series that much. They were just okay-ish for me. But this one just made me realize just how much I wanted to see Ty and Zane back to the action and bicker with each other.

I liked Julian and Cameron too. Seriously, things were a little absurd at the beginning. It felt like they weren't prisoners, but were in their honeymoon. It honestly gave me a good laugh. Anyway, the fact is I enjoyed it.

In this we got to know a little bit about Ty's past. I wonder will in the next books, there's anything about Zane's past. I'd like to know more about him and Becky. ( )

More than 5 plus stars...

Ty and Zane, Zane and Ty... These two were meant for each other. Their relationship have grown, they are so sweet to each other...

I loved the road trip, the interactions between Ty and Julian, Ty and Zane being open about how they feel.

“I love you" Ty said, the quiet words devoid of any self-consciousness of his usual bravado. " And I've never been able to say that before with such conviction. I can't remember a time when you weren't the first thing I thought of, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I don't care what stands in our way.”

Loved it before,Loved it now, will always love these series

Wow this keeps getting better. I fell in love with Ty and Zane even more and also Cam and Julian. I think its about time i read warrior's cross. ( )
