Like tML, this is going to stick with me a long time. ( ) I have some Serious Feelings about this book (and by extension this series), and it is going to take me a while to sort it out. My instinct is to say that this isn't actually a YA book, simply because of the depth and complexity of the issues involved, but then again I've never known teens as fucked up as the ones in this book but I do know they exist and it's entirely possible that they would love the fuck out of this book. The ending made me feel...well, very close to the ending of "Life on Mars," and for similar reasons. Right, and good, in a world where good is the best you can hope for because great is no longer on the table. I have been on an incredible journey...first with The Marbury Lens and now with Passenger. I can't remember a story that has so frustrated me and so fascinated me. At this moment my stomach is churning after reading the last 50 pages of Passenger. If Andrew Smith writes another Marbury book I don't think I'll read it, because I don't want to go back to Marbury. Cause THIS IS IT! It just has to be! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
