Tales from the Top of the World: What a great book! It was written by the wife of an expert Everest climber, so she has so much knowledge of the journey at her disposal. To boot, the images are bright, the information is presented interestingly, organized and in a way that’s appealing, similar to a good textbook design. I really enjoyed learning about Everest, and about Peter’s unique experiences climbing Everest.

Tales from the top of the world is a book for readers aged 9-13. It outlines the treacherous journey to ascend to the peak of Mount Everest. The book is a collaborative effort between veteran climber Pete Athans ("Mr. Everest") and his sister Sandra Athans. The book had facts and stores that will appeal to the audiences tense of adventure and excitement, Q&A with Pete and facts about lesser known aspects of an Everest Expedition. If you read this book as an e-Text, be sure to use a colour reader or computer! Each sheet has a full-page colour picture, truly the best part of the book!, and you'll miss out without seeing them. Overall, a good book for young adventurers.
