Wow, just WOW! Hello to my new favorite author :-) I devoured this book. You will fall in love with these characters almost as quickly as they do with each other. Such tortured souls, so full of love. Perfect first novel, and I can't wait to read more! ( )

3.5 stars. It was fantastic until I got to the ending and the reasons for Ember making a very bad decision. Only a slight spoiler but I think if the love Bo and Ember declared over and over again was honest then this no talking/emailing/contact reaction, to a strange situation where Bo was an actual victim of violence, would not have been blown so out of proportion. The 'you tricked me into falling in love with you' stance only works if she realizes he is NOT actually in love with her right? My problem with this book is that I believed in the love they had for those 10 days. I could feel they had the 'love of a thousand lifetimes' but the second it was tested by information Ember was not only informed of but understood and witnessed first hand she runs away and won't hear Bo out? That is not a woman in love, that is a selfish child throwing a tantrum.

It ends on a love cliffhanger that leads in to the second book. Fact checking and a story editor would have come in handy here. For instance, Princeton University has eating clubs(Tiger Inn, Cap and Gown, Ivy, Colonial, etc.) not sorority houses.

I'll read the second book and I hope it makes me care about Ember again. ( )
