"1.5 out of 5 stars--a rich man finds the woman who might just be the perfect girl for him, if only he can prove to her that his lying to her about his wealth and who he really was had nothing to do with her personally then everything would be perfect... I really tried to like this novel." Read more of this review and two teasers here: http://frommetoyouvideophoto.blogspot.com/2013/04/what-was-i-thinking-not-quite-... On the whole, I liked it. Good character development for her, somewhat so for him and you get a feel for how difficult her life has been. Maybe I need to believe more in that elusive "walks into the room and click" feeling that makes a guy lose his rationality to pursue a total stranger... If you don't do those kinds of stories, you won't like this one. If you can get past that, the author does a great job of developing their friendship so that when they get to the will you part, you're in. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Also, the writing was really pedestrian. It was very tell-y and used formal, writerly language where casual language fit the story and characters better. It came off sounding stiff and unnatural. ( )
