Throughout the whole course of our journey through Psalms, our attention repeatedly has been directed to King Messiah, who would come as the only solution for the Israelites' trials (and for ours). Now he has come. He has finished his work. We await his return. For this we gladly shout, "Praise the Lord."
The Book of Psalms is a miniature Bible, a miniature history of God's people. It expresses all the feelings and experiences they will ever have. It is fitting that this book ends where our history and our experience will end -- in the sanctuary of our God, singing joyful hallelujahs forever. For this we gladly shout, "Praise the Lord!"
