Rebellious, green-eyed Eleanor never met a rule she didn't want to break. Sick of her mother's zealotry and the confines of Catholic school, she declares that she'll never go to church again. But her first glimpse of beautiful, magnetic Father Marcus Stearns-Sren to her and only her-and his lust-worthy Italian motorcycle is an epiphany. Eleanor is consumed, yet even she knows that being in love with a priest can't be right. But when one desperate mistake nearly costs Eleanor everything, it is Sren who steps in to save her. When she vows to repay him with complete obedience, a whole world opens before her as he reveals to her his deepest secrets. Danger can be managed-pain, welcomed. Everything is about to begin. Contains mature themes.… (meer)

I still can't get over how the characters - Nora and Soren, truly sound young in this book, which is an accounting of how they met and the journey they took from first meet to first time in bed. In this book especially, because it is told in the current time when Nora is telling Nico about the story of how her and Soren met and fell in love. The book is told in the current time but when Nora starts with the story then we are taken back in time to when Nora was 15 going on 16 and Soren is 29. Both their voices sound so young. It's truly amazon how Tiffany is able to age her characters so authentically, its more apparent when the story takes a break and we are taken back to Nora and Nico and whatever they get up to during these breaks.

Love this book! ( )

A woman, Eleanor, looking back on her relationships with two men. She begins her story from the age of 15. How does a 15 year old deal with the tumult of her life at that time, her father a criminal, her infatuation with her priest, and so on.

Elenor is, or cultivates, the "dangerous woman", a different kind of powerful woman to the usual romantic heroine.

A serious and sensual novel, both in tone and topic. There's some beautiful writing in this novel. But do I understand Elenor by the end of it? ( )

I bought this book last night off Kobo when I saw that it was actually released in the UK, just not the US. I shrieked and yelped in excitement and bought it, intending to save it until I hit a reading slump. Ironic how I didn't realise that I was already in a reading slump at that very moment.

Morning arrived and I felt in desperate need to read a book that I KNOW I will LOVE and so I started this book slowly, but Ms Tiffany's writing is just so emotive and I got hurled back into the adventures with Eleanor soon. Finished the book in one sitting, and I'm sated. :)

Love love love these characters because each one of them are so imperfectly perfect in their own ways. It's one of my most anticipated reads of this year and it is PERFECT. I laughed a lot and was afraid because I thought the one who passed away was my favourite character.

I wished more people would look upon this genre of books more fondly instead of comparing all books in the genre to Fifty Shades. I view erotica as a romance book mainly, even though I don't read many of them often. As long as the writing is good, you have me as a fan. Ms Tiffany definitely writes better than plenty of other authors and I find that her control of weaving emotions into the story, souls into the characters is near perfect. Definitely my favourite work of hers, probably will be my favourite book too, in the 2 quartets despite the last 3 not even close to being published yet. ( )

“If I had something that valuable, I’d lock it up.” He smiled at her. “I plan to.” That's one of 32 passages I highlighted while reading "The Saint." 32. This book is everything. Absolutely everything. I've followed Tiffany Reisz's characters from the very beginning, including all of her short stories, and they just keep getting better. Achingly, heart-wrenchingly, rip your heart out and then ever so gently put it back together amazing.

In "The Saint," the first book in the White Years Quartet, we watch Nora and Søren meet and fall in love -- such a pedestrian term for their relationship, honestly. It's a love most of us only hope to have, and Tiffany crafts it beautifully. I laughed, I cried, my heart ached over and over again. Tiffany is a sadist, and I'm the masochist eager to take the pain she doles out over and over if it means just a little more time with Soren, Nora, and Kingsley. Beautiful. ( )
