This is a dinosaur book that is more suited for younger grades. The book is separated into categories of "small," "big," "giant," and "gigantic" dinosaurs. It gives an overview for each chapter and then has a lot of facts, pictures, and smaller paragraphs in each chapter. It goes over the different eras when dinosaurs lived and says when each dinosaur they discuss lived. There is a "dinosaur map" that shows where fossils of several types of dinosaurs were found around the world. There are parent tips explaining how to extend a child's learning about dinosaurs past the book, which would be good for teachers, too! I think this book would be a good addition to the classroom. I would like to use the dinosaur map especially when talking about fossils and where dinosaurs were found. I think the text features, images, and quality of writing make this a great book to have. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
