Full of drama (so much drama!!!), character development, lovable Kenji, Warner redemption (some of which is iffy, but he's a ridiculously interesting character), and Juliette finally getting her junk together, and I loved every minute of it. I'm not looking at this from a critical standpoint, but just concerning enjoyment I had fun reading it. This is definitely one of those guilty pleasure books. I loved loved loved this book. This entire trilogy. The writing is so unique and beautiful. The conclusion to the trilogy was perfect, I loved the outcome of everything. There were twists and turns and secrets. I flew through this book. The only thing I would have changed was to make it longer. This book. The series. All of it. I am so sad to say goodbye to this world and these characters. Warner, Juliette, Kenji, Adam, James, all of them. I highly recommend these books to anyone! This is by far one of my favorite trilogies. I loved loved loved this book. This entire trilogy. HTML: The heart-stopping third installment in the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, which Ransom Riggs, author of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and Hollow City, called "a thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love." With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn't know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won't keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that's not all he wants with her. The Shatter Me series is perfect for fans who crave action-packed young adult novels with tantalizing romance like Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and Legend by Marie Lu. Tahereh Mafi has created a captivating and original story that combines the best of dystopian and paranormal and was praised by Publishers Weekly as "a gripping read from an author who's not afraid to take risks." Don't miss Defy Me, the shocking fifth book in the Shatter Me series! .Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

It's been a pleasure once more to dive into the world of Juliette and her companions to save the world, to free them from The Reestablishment. Tahereh Mafi's words are as strong and deep as always. It was fun to read this book, but I have to criticize that it just took me too long to get to the battle. I understand that she wanted the relationship between Juliette and Adame as well as Juliette and Warner to be cleared. And these scenes were important for Juliette's success in the end. But it all took too long and the battle part was WAY TOO short. Unfortunately!
It was an interesting story how the survivors of "Omega Point" came together again and dared to take the fight in their hands and that Castle was so willingly giving up leadership to Juliette.
This trilogy into an apocalyptic world, I hope we'll never see, was interesting and horrifying at the same time. But it's good to know that there will always be a bunch of people fighting for justice and freedom. ( )
