Water and Fire is the prequel to the Ocean’s Gift series but can be read as a standalone book. Set in a busy hospital we meet Belinda and Aiden who have a steamy romance. We also meet Lin who is naughty.

I was hooked from the first chapter and I liked that we got to know the characters and what happens to them before the main series took off.

Demelza writes with passion, I have read other books by her and loved them.

I am looking forward to reading the other two books in the Ocean’s Gift series now. ( )

Short and very interesting tale of the professional and private lives of an intern and a student midwife who is much more than she seems. Lots of erotica. ( )

A good introduction to the author's world.

This shorter work makes a good introduction to the Ocean's Gift series. For those who have already read the other books, it gives insight into one of the side characters, as well. I enjoyed that aspect of it quite a bit. I think traditional romance fans may have a hard time with the ending, which makes absolute sense for this book world, but isn't exactly the happily-ever-after they may have been expecting! I, on the other hand, appreciated it because it wasn't the usual! ( )

An interesting read.
The only thing I felt lacking was there was so much going on and the book was not long enough to really share all of these details. I was just a little disappointed because I wanted more details in the story. Other than that a pretty good read. ( )
