Better than the first but still not a 5 for me. The absolute best part of this book was Deuce and Ripper FINALLY telling Eva off for being TSTL over Frankie. I can't honestly believe she didn't know what he was about or how horrible he was! She put Frankie above everybody else! Deuce and Preacher are "bad ass" MC presidents but she didn't bother to tell them she wanted away from Frankie? Her stupidity ruined the entire first book for me. If she had been a strong character it would have been awesome. I did love Ripper and Danny's story and was thankful Danny wasn't as stupid as Eva! ( )

First a warning, this is harsh and ugly and full of potential triggers for sensitive readers, but it is also about love winning in the end. This is not only Ripper and Danny's chaotic romance but also resolution for Deuce and Eva as they recover and various other relationships within the club, some good, some train wrecks.

Ripper lost his family young and the Hell's Horsemen took him in and became his family. Four years ago he was brutally tortured and disfigured by a psychopath, leaving him an angry man.

Danny is the daughter of the MC President and is considered off limits. However when she calls him for a ride from her Prom night, sad and unhappy he takes her to a private watering spot to chill. They end up drinking and getting high and temptation and her calling him beautiful leads to a night of hot sex and a morning after recriminations. Ripper knows Deuce will kill him for sleeping with his daughter but these two manage to hide it. But in hiding their relationship other tragedies occur, making Ripper decide it would be best for his beautiful Danny if he was out of her life so she could have a better life than he could giver, which in turn leads to more ugliness.

While that's going on Deuce and Eva struggle to get their relationship back on track after he had to watch her being raped by her psycho ex, as well as other dramas with other couples.

I have to say the lives of these bikers pulled me in even as it sometimes disgusted and horrified me. Even though they are criminals I was still hoping they'd all get their HEA's until the very end, when Deuce allowed his men to rape the woman that kidnapped and threatened to kill his daughter. While I understand wanting vengeance I can't ever justify raping anyone for any reason. The story sort of crashed and burned for me there, only to warm my heart in the sweet epilogue. This story will put you on a roller coaster.

Heed Madeline Sheehan's warning, then jump right in with 2 feet!

Of late I've been on a bit of a biker-fest and for a long time Madeline Sheehan's books were being mentioned in association with must reads but I'm one of those people who tends to avoid books that are hyped because I hat to be disappointed! So glad I didn't take any notice of my inner voice, so glad I gagged that biatch and told her to sit down and behave because OMG these books shouldn't be missed.

In the first book we catch glimpses of Deuce's Hello Kitty daughter, Danielle and his right hand man Ripper. Ripper was horrifically disfigured by Eva's crazy husband, he's angry and rightly so, he takes what he wants from who he wants and rarely worries about the consequences that is until he has to collect a sad Danielle from her Prom! Oh yes, in true heart wrenching style Danielle gets under his skin, she doesn't see his mutilated body just him, but she's a girl he should avoid, the Prez's daughter who's 14 years younger and could lead him into big repercussions!

I'm so glad that he didn't listen to his inner voice and even though they have a rough path to follow he gets a grip and returns to where he belongs!

I loved this book, I loved their story, I almost cried towards the end cause i got a bit scared! If you liked Deuce and Eva's story then you'll definitely like this one and when you're done with this there's book 3 :) ( )

HOLY FRIKIN COW!

Once again, Madeline kicked my ass, reached into my chest and grabbed my heart, slung it around for a while and then dropped it at my feet.

This is not your typical love story... this is the story of trying to hang on to a love that shouldn't even be in a world of fear and destruction. There were times I was afraid to read the next paragraph for fear of the next horrific thing waiting for the Horsemen around the corner. I couldn't put it down, but I could barely make myself keep reading.

And Deuce and Eva's continuing story killed me more than Ripper and Danny's... because I'm that fucking invested in them. GOD! Now what am I going to do? The wait for the next book is going to be hell. ( )

Das Cover gefällt mir sehr gut und die Geschichte noch viel besser. Von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite war ich gefesselt von dieser Story . Man sollte allerdings den ersten Teil auch lesen um wirklich alle Erzählungen zu verstehen und zu begreifen. Der erste Teil hatte mir auch sehr gut gefallen. Achso... wer es noch nicht weiß es geht hier um eine bekannte und gefürchtete Bikerclub ;).
Die junge und schöne Danny (Tochter des Präsidenten des Clubs) findet in Ripper (durch Narben entstelllt - dazu mehr im ersten Teil) einem Biker des Clubs ihre Liebe. Wie im ersten Teil geht auch diese Geschichte unter die Haut und man leidet und fiebert mit. Es passieren schlimmer Dinge und es fiel mir manchmal nicht leicht den Griff zum Taschentuch zu vermeiden.
