Nightmoves takes us out of the undercover world and bring us more into the corporate world of the rich.

The characters this time around are Darcy Sheridan (Lindsey’s best friend from Love Plus One) and Easton Matthews (who is Taz’s step brother from Love Plus One). Even though Darcy and Lindsey are the same age you can certainly tell that Lindsey was worlds ahead of her in life skills. Darcy is a good person but coming from parents who had her late in life she has been spoiled beyond belief and is shocked when they tell her she is going to have to start at the bottom of the family company that she thought she would immediately assume possession of when her father retired. Darcy doesn’t quite know how to handle this and it’s at this point she finally starts to mentally mature. Easton wasn’t raised in the states and he’s richer than rich and has sex when and where he wants. I wasn’t very fond of him for the first part of the book I mean who has sex in the ladies bathroom at your brother’s wedding rehearsal and isn’t even bothered when he is caught Even when Darcy and Easton start an intense sexual relationship he is still a bit too arrogant and in some ways was punishing Darcy for something that wasn’t her fault. This is one of those books its almost the very end before the hero finally redeems himself. Once Easton’s childhood and where he come from come to light you begin to understand why he is the way he is but it was almost to late for me to really care.

The feel of this book was very different from the first two. It seemed like it didn’t belong in this series except for the relation of the characters from the first two books. I liked that Sammie, Slate, Taz and Lindsey still played a big part during this book especially at the end when the story arc of Lindsey’s father was finally concluded which led for some suspenseful scenes with Slate and Taz going into G-Man mode.

Overall I’ve enjoyed this series and will never forget my introduction to this author when I first read Diamond Girl. I look forward to seeing what’s coming next.. ( )

A perfect formula for a yummy toe-curling read!

"E.J" and Darcy meet while vacationing separately in Belize. Their attraction is instant but unfortunately E.J. is there with another woman but it's clear he is more interested in Darcy. However when Darcy boldly makes a move on E.J. she's met with a surprising response. Later Darcy learns that E.J. is really Easton and that he is connected to her life in ways she begins to loathe. Sexy and mysterious vacation E.J. is now Easton, arrogant business professional and cold-hearted jerk extraordinaire.

But damn is he hot!!



His sexy British accent mixed with borderline obsessive behavior are irresistible and remind me a little of Jesse Ward. (God, I love that man!)

I finally saw him exhale as if he was no longer at odds with whatever. He turned to face me, his hand now rubbing the back of his neck relieving the pent up tension.

"I have to punish you," he said plainly. "There's no way around it."

Easton is struggling with a secret from his childhood that has effected his ability to love and be loved. It also compels him to act in ways he feels are not healthy. With Darcy, he is able to channel his dark desires in to a more useful way that benefits them both.

I loved the interaction between them and the way Darcy stood up to him. I really think they saved each other! A good match!

"I love your laugh. If I could," I felt his body draw back, and I breathed in the feeling of feminine content as I felt his cock tease the opening where I wanted him. "I'd make sure you'd always be laughing. And making sure that your smile was never far behind."

Seriously! I was a goner for Easton after that!



I am definitely going back to read the first two in the series! I can't believe I didn't know about them before!! Where have I been?

Why 4.5 stars and not 5 stars?

I felt Darcy was very young and a bit spoiled in the very beginning. She came across as shallow and immature and almost killed the story for me. BUT over the course of the story she grew up a lot and surprised me. I don't know if that was intentional but it all worked for me! ( )
