This was silly and fun and full of lots of little sci-fi references sure to go over most of the heads of those for whose age it is appropriate.

I enjoyed it a lot, not even sure my 9-year old read it, though it was in her room for a week. ( )

Many animals have been traveling through space to find and protect the "lost nuts of legend" that have supernatural powers. When the ships space navigation stops working the crew stops at a diner to get directions; instead they are met by other space creatures that want to steal the lost nuts of legend. In the end a member of the crew is so hungry he eats the nuts and the crew has to fly through space again to find more. This book has text but also shows humorous character dialogue through speech bubbles. ( )

Nutty indeed but a bit too busy for my taste. ( )
