I found the idea of the book so irresistible that I was really excited to read. I was actually enjoying it for the first few chapters. An insane man writes deranged letters to a famous author and reveals the dark heart of his derangement. Eventually, though, I came to despise the repetition, the predictability, and the fact that we don't get much insight into the character after the first fifth or so of the book. This one of the toughest books ever for me to plod through to the end (an ending, by the way, that was so predictable as to make me still more angry at the author for dragging me to it). geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
