This is a great book for primary readers preferably grades 1-3. This book is about a young girl and a bear and it describes both of their emotions and how their emotions affect each other. I really liked this book because it would give students at a young age great examples of what emotions look like and how they can use them. i would use this in my classroom to educate younger students about the affects that emotions have. Why or why is bear so horrible? Or maybe bear isn’t horrible, and the little girl is horrible? Only the reader will know, and I’m not going to spoil it. This book left a big smile on my face, and it will do the same for many other readers as well. I see this circulating well at most public libraries. #Wintergames #teamreadnosereindeer +16 geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
When Bear breaks a little girl's kite, she thinks he is a "HORRIBLE BEAR!"--until she makes a mistake of her own and learns the power of saying "I'm sorry." Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

The message of this book is basically that you should forgive someone if they didn't mean to upset you. There's a difference between doing something on purpose and by accident. The fun of this story, though, is really digging into the girl's the bear's anger at each other. I had the kids yell "HORRIBLE BEAR!" along with the girl and some of them got really (maybe too much) into it. You might pair this with [b:When Sophie Gets Angry -- Really, Really Angry|897680|When Sophie Gets Angry -- Really, Really Angry|Molly Bang|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1274190503s/897680.jpg|1029777] to talk about ways to calm down and self-regulate.
Ame Dyckman always does a good job of using minimal text and letting the pictures tell a good chunk of the story. I love her book [b:Boy Bot|12448586|Boy Bot|Ame Dyckman|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320511825s/12448586.jpg|17431671]! ( )
