Love! Love! Loved it!

This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I didn't know if I wanted to scream, cry, punch someone or murder a few people the whole time. The twists and turns in this book were amazing. I absolutely loved the entire book and I didn't want it to end. 10/10. ( )

Although there were many good parts to this book, they were far outweighed by the problems with the characters and plot points I couldn't get my head around.

If you want to read it go ahead. I am just going to say that the heroine does not get better. If you like how she is, then enjoy the feast of horrors that is heaped upon her.

I just wished with all my might that the heroine would lose her 2014 New Adult Billionaire Romance heroine attitude and just grow a brain. TSTL is being nice. ( )

Read the warnings on this book. It has triggers like you won't believe. Even the trigger warnings should come with trigger warnings.

You know that material they've developed that's so black it absorbs light? Well, that stuff is a little ray of sunshine compared to this book. Poor Anna. She never stood a chance at any kind of normal life. She was brutalized from the age of 16, and horrible stuff happened even before that. Jack and Devin deserve even more than they actually get. What they put her through was well, there aren't even words. Books 3 and 4 get really dark, and in a series that's already dark, that's pretty hard to do, but it manages. I basically cried the whole time I read them.

Anna does manage to get her happy ending, but oh man, it is a hard, hard, hard road. ( )

The Life of Anna is a long, dark, beautiful, erotic journey. Be sure to read the warnings before you start this series. If you are brave enough to continue, I promise it will be well worth it. Marissa has created characters so deep and real, they stay with you long after the story ends. Each book is a few shades darker than the last, making the conclusion that much more rewarding. ( )
