This book is a fantastic way to show children that even though children all around the world may seem different, they are more similar to them than they may think. It is very nice to see in this book that children of all different races and cultures are represented. The illustrations are amazing because all these different types of people are shown. The book goes through children from all over the world, saying "hi" in their own languages. This can help kids to remember that not everyone speaks the same language as them, but they are probably saying and thinking the same things that they are. The book also emphasizes that children all over the world go to school, and this is also another way that children can connect to other children around the world. Although this book is very simple and most likely used in the younger grades, I feel that this book could be read by children up to the 5th grade. On the other hand, this book is very repetitive and follows a pattern, which will help younger children follow along with the book. ( )

Review: This book is a good informational book because it teaches students about culture in a way that they can connect with on their own level.
Summary: This book is about International Day of Peace. This book teaches kids how each culture says peace and how each and every one of us wants World Peace.

This books teach children about a day being dedicated and observed for peace all around the world. Children will have the ability to read and learn many different ways around the world that people say peace. Children learn that peace can be said in many ways, yet everyone wants the same thing, to have peace and how it's celebrated internationally.

This book is a collection of how to say peace in several different regions/cultures of the world. It is an excellent tool for making young readers more aware of other cultures as well as emphasizing the will for peace all around the world. It is a very simple read, yet diverse and meaningful beyond the words on the page. ( )
