This book is recommended for intermediate students. This book shows what it's like growing up and living as an elephant from birth to adolescence. I don't think this book would be in my future classroom unless specifically requested by a student as I do not see a need for it beyond fulfilling a specific niche. ( )

Here we have a book that does an amazing job at peaking interest with digestible language, but also having absolutely no compromise when it comes to the smallest of details. This book has so many teachable tidbits ranging from development up to sound and vibrations; truly a gem. ( )

I picked up this children's book because the cover is beautiful and I love elephants. The illustrations are magnificent and I think the text is written in a way that would hold a child's interest. I even learned a couple of new facts about elephants ( )
