THE GOLDEN HORSE is a fairy tale based on the Cinderella theme. The main character, April Rose, is raised by her parents until their untimely death near her 12th year. Keeping only the sketch of a horse her mother drew for her, she goes to live with another family. They do not treat April well & make her work constantly. She finds comfort in daydreams centered on the picture of the horse & shares them with the farm animals. During a confrontation with her cousins some time later, the picture is destroyed.
