This was so far out of my comfort zone, I wasn't sure I'd be able to finish reading it. But my goodness, this author knows how to write a good hook, and I couldn't put it down, despite my serious reservations. Rape is really, really not my kink/fantasy, but the characters and mystery/conflict were totally compelling. Like Lianna, I was drawn in and consumed by the story. While it's not the sort of romance I typically go for, and probably won't continue on with this particular series, it's a testament to the author's skill how much I actually ended up enjoying the book. This book was dark - this book was light - this book was every shade in between. And it was awesome. Granted I havent read any "dark" books since October (so it has been a few months) but it was a joy to read this book - or perhaps I shouldn't say joy given the subject matter...........

I really liked David he was a great tortured soul and his character was written so well - I was a little meh on Lianna but she progressed alright in the end - and the story although a bit strange at the start given like, why is this all happening - really wrapped up and turned into quite an interesting read.

I really enjoyed this - did I say that already? I'll be checking out this authors other stuff as this is the first one I read .. cant wait ( )

This book is dark and twisted. It kept me guessing the whole time as to what is going to happen. There are so many layers to get through to figure out why anyone did what they just did. It's more than just a steamy story, it's a great ride for your brain too as you try to keep track of everything. ( )

I definitely need therapy on why I love books like this. This book had me riveted from page one. I got extremely sick when I was reading this and the inconvenience of not being able to finish it earlier made me even angrier than the actual Doctor/medicine/get rest aspect.

These characters were hot as hell. The secrets, the intrigue, the suspense were phenomenal. I cannot leave out the steam. Good lord. So many scenes made my kindle almost combust.

This book has triggers. This book is dark and twisty. I cannot wait to see where this story goes in the future. It's a HFN ending but there are so many variables got the future. ( )
