Excerpt from A Treatise on Malignant Fever: With an Attempt to Prove Its Non-Contagious NatureThe first account I have been able to procure of an epi demic existing amongst the Indians, is in the voyage of James Cartier to Newfoundland By the grand bay up the river Canada, A. D. 1535.
