Excerpt from First Annual Report of the Vermont State Board of Agriculture, Manufactures and Mining, for the Year 1872Sec. 1. The governor of the state, the president of the state agricultural college, and six other persons, who shall be nominated by the governor and confirmed by the senate, shall constitute the vermont state board OF agriculture, manufactures and mining, and shall receive the same per diem compensation for time employed in the duties herein after specified as members of the general assembly, and the actual ratea of fare paid by them to and from the place of meeting.
