They quickly fall in love and dream about spending their life together. Hanna, a young woman who happens to be Jewish and Max, a Christian begin a love affair that will alter their lives. There is an interesting turn of events in the story that I am still unsure how I feel about. It seems like an odd way to add sci-fi to a historical fiction genre book and it left the ending a little rushed and unsatisfying. ( ) Micareads | Jun 21, 2022 | I loved this book so much. War genre is one of my favorites and this is definitely a favorite. Loved each of the main characters very much, especially Max and Hanna. Very hard to put this down and I did shed a few tears over this one. Breathtakingly beautiful and haunting.
