The Hero is amazing. He is not a man whore type, despite being surrounded by offers and in an environment where he could be. In fact since he met the heroine 2 (?) years ago he's had no interest in any other woman despite the fact he knows she's unavailable and it's a line he wouldn't cross. His brother and fellow teammates make fun of him about his celibacy but he doesn't care. How refreshing. Despite the heroine being married, there is no cheating between the Hero and heroine. The Hero has feelings for her but is supportive of her getting out of this toxic relationship. Even after he divorce it takes some time for them to be intimate. HEA. No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine. One thing I didn't understand was the cover, it gives the impression it's a book filled with sex but that's not the case. He always felt that he had to maintain a strict diet and workout routine to keep up with his naturally talented twin brother, Alexei, who is also in the NHL. He has a good heart, and he is patient. I love that he takes care of his biological and billet family. I like that Mia is a strong heroine who got out of an abusive marriage. As a result, her self-confidence has taken a hit. I appreciate that she regains her confidence throughout this story because of the things that take place. I love how Mia interacts with Anton’s uncle Dix. ANTON is a skillfully written and heartwarming read. There are relevant and believable obstacles that the characters face. This book sets an excellent foundation to the Chicago Blaze series.
