"Darius is excited that his cousin, Ryan, is coming to stay at his house for a weekend in October. The boys were very close when they were younger, but Ryan's family moved from BC's interior to Vancouver years ago and they haven't seen each other since. The visit doesn't get off to the start Darius had anticipated. Ryan has changed. He can't stop talking about how much better the city is than the country, and he seems uninterested and annoyed that he's been "shipped" to his cousin's house. Desperate to turn the weekend around, Darius takes Ryan to Scarecrow Farm, a local farm that morphs into a Halloween attraction each fall. Ryan used to love visiting it with Darius when they were younger, but Scarecrow Farm is nothing like they remember and seems to have fallen on hard times. It's much less busy, the apple orchard smells of rot and the pumpkin patch is bare. But since Darius' mom won't be back to pick them up for a while, they decide to kill some time in the farm's signature attraction: the corn maze. It's not long before they become disorientated and lost, and just as they're beginning to panic they come across a younger boy who seems even more lost than Darius and Ryan. In fact, he's not only lost in the maze, but lost in this plane of existence. And he's not the only spirit trapped in the maze; the other ghost the boys encounter is intent on seeking revenge for being murdered many years ago, and he doesn't care who pays. Can Darius and Ryan escape before they become the latest two victims of the corn maze?"--… (meer)
