"Thabo has been abandoned at the airport by the "grandmother" who brought him to Canada. He doesn't know anything about her, but before she left she took his papers. An unassuming teacher, Ms Nelson, has landed with her class after a trip to Japan, and spots Thabo sitting alone in the airport. But because no one can understand his language, they don't yet know who he is or how he arrived in Canada, his age is undetermined as he looks to be anywhere between a teenager and an adult, and, according to the government, all of this means he poses a danger, and could be deported. Ms Nelson and Brittany, along with her younger sister Leah, Kevin--the boy smitten over Brittany, and the Reverend at the local church, all come together to help garner media attention and raise funds for a lawyer for Thabo as they help teach him English, and attempt to win him the right to stay in Canada permanently. But suddenly, the church is up in flames, and Thabo has disappeared. Can they figure out what happened before it's too late?"--… (meer)
