This book explains how to classify things found in nature as living or non-living. It discusses what makes something living, including plants, animals, and people. I will read this book aloud to the whole class in the beginning of our "living things" unit. It will serve as an introduction to the topic. After the read aloud, I will model how to create a poster of key ideas with the help of the students. Then students will work in groups to do the same with other books related to the topic.
