Ok then let’s get started.
Summer is made for reading a trashy novel, and while this book could have been even better it certainly fits the bill.
Start with three women who have been friends since jr high and are now about 40
Jen- middle class growing up, throws herself all in to any guy she gets involved with usually to later regret it. She is now divorced and has moved into her old house that her parents let her have for free. She has a 15 year old son. And she has issues.
Kittie- wealthy growing up and is now married to Hank. She has a almost 16 year old daughter Chloe, who she constantly battles with because the daughter is just like she is, except mom is also a complete lush. Hot and very high maintenance
Cynthia- extremely wealthy both growing up and now. Cynthia is bored, depressed and has an unfulfilled Sex life. She is hot looking and craves adventure. She is married to Gerald and has a son who may or may not be gay, but plays zero part in the story.
So,
What happens when a strikingly handsome single man with European charm named Will, moves into the neighborhood?
Well of course every women regardless of married status, wants to have sex with him. This of course could get complicated if a best friend finds out.

The sex is suburban soccer mom raunchy and semi graphic.
The backstabbing is a little less than I would have hope for as it would have made the story more amusing, but overall this is a wonderful pool/ beach read.
Remember this book is purely guilty pleasure enjoyment. You aren’t reading it to better yoursel! ( )

This one started off good for me. I liked the writing and the friendships, but then the writing got silly and the women turned out to be unlikable, awful people. How one guy held such power over these women baffled me. So while it was an entertaining read (although at times it seemed like the same stuff over and over) it was also nothing special. ( )

Well this is definitely what I would call a beach read. Shallow characters and a lot of racy scenes. It is the summer and Jen has just moved back to her east Texas hometown after a divorce, with her teen son, Casey. Her best childhood friends, Kittie and Cynthia, are happily married, but Kittie has always taken what Jen wanted, and Cynthia wants more from her husband in the bedroom. Kittie's daughter, Chloe, is a mini Kittie in looks, and is bucking her mom's rules.
Enter a handsome new neighbor, Will. Jen is VERY interested in him. But, his appeal is overwhelming for both Kittie and Cynthia, and neither can resist. However, something isn't right and tragedy is imminent.
This book was recommended by authors I admire, but the way these women allowed their frustrations to take hold of their lives was ridiculous. The ending was a bit chilling though. ( )

Gripping horror story about a handsome cad who was so much worse than anyone expected. ( )
