We created a fun visual life-defining book for kids and teens to learn social skills, self-development, confidence, and mindfulness tools in an easy-to-use visual way. It?s a colorful, practical, and engaging 100-page guide to every soft skill for teens your teenage boy or girl needs to be happy. We covered everything from goal definition and time management to reasonable budgeting and children-parents relationships. While applying the scientifically proven method of visual learning, Life Skills 101 is a book for teens that teaches life skills for teens in a way that is accessible and easy to digest. Whether 10 or 18, your kid won't be able to put it down (and neither will you). --Amazon.com.… (meer)

I bought this book for my teenagers ages 12 and 16 years old, when the book arrived it wasn't really what I was expecting. I felt like the visual look of the book was more on par for a middle school aged child, so for my 12 year old it was fine but my teen definitely wasn't interested upon a quick look at the book. I did have them both read it and it was a quick and easy book to get through. The content is about life skills such as, figuring out "who am I", socializing, body health and relationships for us these were nothing new and my kids didn't learn much. I wish it had been more about how to do laundry, manage a bank account, those kinds of life skills. Overall, it is well written and does provide good info but certainly too young for a teenager and more appropriate for a tween.

This book is a broad survey of life questions organized into the categories of self-knowledge, tools, emotional intelligence, social skills, relationships, and physical self care. Each question has its own two-page spread with a mix of information and practical tips. At the end of each section is a spread titled "What next?" with questions to prompt self-reflection, a selection of book recommendations to go deeper, a list of tools, and two QR codes that link to related videos. The "bite-sized format" naturally invites browsing and appealed to my teen, who wouldn't normally pick up a book like this. Being a visual person, I enjoyed the elements of design that went into this book, with text and bullet points incorporated into the images. That chunking proved to be essential for me, as there was a lot of text for being a visual guide, much of which was in a smaller font size than I would be able to read comfortably. The book itself is a comfortable size to hold and the creator did a great job of conveying as much as possible in the available space. Overall, a great resource for middle graders, teens, or anyone who may be struggling with "adulting"!

I won this in the Early Reviewer Program. I received it soon after Russia invaded Ukraine. I saw that it was published in Russia and decided not to write a review in a small protest to the aggression of the Russian Government.

A kaleidoscope of color and infographics, Life Skills 101 is tightly packed with nuggets of wisdom. With chapters covering identity, feelings, socializing, and relationships, this book does a great job of helping teens understand themselves. Tips and ideas are clearly described and easy to digest. Quizzes, optional reading, and QR codes makes this a fun interactive experience that young teens will enjoy. This would make a great gift book too! ( )

This books was highly visual and very helpful for my teenager. I enjoyed the fact that it was geared towards children who may have a reading disability and still need support. I shared it with my colleagues and my students and everyone enjoyed. ( )
