Suspense, intrigue, mystery and a love story. The ending was a complete surprise! I enjoyed getting to know Elinor and Kekoa! A definite must read! I expected something a little more fast paced.Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. Received as an Early Reviewer. So slow moving that I took forever to read it. It wasn't the worst book I have ever read, but I struggled with getting to the end. I definitely expected a more fast paced read. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. I won an ARC from a giveaway on LibraryThing in exchange for a review.I had no qualms with any of the characters. The results of the mystery were believable. The only real downfall I experienced was this book was very slow-paced. I was expecting something fast-paced and tense. Therefore, based on Goodreads rating fashion this novel was okay. In other words, I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. I received Fatal Code from an ARC giveaway. I hadn't yet read book one in this series, and I just couldn't settle for starting with book two (I NEED to start at the beginning) and so I went out and bought the first of the series and binged. I had been really busy lately, so it was nice to set aside some time and really read. I enjoyed fatal code. The plot built up nicely and I thought the climax was excellent. I liked Kekoa in book 1 and was happy to find him to be the protagonist in this story. I confess that Elinor fell a little flat for me. I just couldn't get as interested in her part of the story as I wanted to be. But the overall storyline and theme of the novel was a good one. The beginning was a little slow, but as mentioned, the plot does pick up as you move on. Overall, this is a good read that I'd recommend to contemporary romantic suspense readers. I would suggest reading Lights Out first though, to get a true appreciation for book two's protagonist. I am looking forward to book 3!I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed are entirely my own. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
