Practice manuscript handwriting in a challenging new way! The Trace-A-Story series publishes classic stories in traceable cursive and manuscript handwriting. This gives children extra practice in a more challenging setting and gives them a reason to complete the practice book. Every story is broken up into sections so that it's not too intimidating. One section per day is ideal, but since every person learns at different speeds, more or less can be done per day. Story Summary: A prince who wishes to see the princess before the other suitors do, sets out on the long journey to her kingdom in disguise as a shepherd. He takes with him only four loafs of bread which he gives away to four beggars along the way. The fourth beggar in return of the prince's generosity gives the prince four magical items to help him on his mission. What are the magical items? Why does the prince need them to complete his mission? Will the princess accept his hand in marriage after learning to say "please" or will she choose another?
