I am sorry to see the series end, but what an exceptional way to end! If you didn’t know, there are three prior books: Life Flight, Crossfire, and Critical Threat. The series is about four young ladies who became friends while in juvie, and then readers get to see each of them work hard to accomplish their dreams! Each of the books focuses on one of the women. In this one, the action centers around Raina Price who is an advanced EMT on a medical flight team.
Raina is a character we’ve read about in the other books but until now we’ve known little of her story. Her past is about to come crashing in on her. She has worked hard to keep her past trauma from controlling her everyday life. Now, in a moment, when a young man is poised to become a well-known snow boarder, Raina’s life and his are in great danger!
No matter where Raina goes there seems to be someone attempting to take her life. U.S. Marshal Vince Covelli comes alongside her and hopes to win her trust so that she will tell him her story. Then, he will be able to know how best to protect her. Little does the man know that what he is asking is a huge obstacle for Raina. However, Raina is about to put her life out there in the hopes that she can draw the killer out to finally be captured!
All the novels are high octane stories that center not just around each of the women, but how they face their pasts with courage and determination. There are wonderful threads of romance, faith, and friendship. While each book can be read by itself, I found reading them in order brought a complete picture of the friendship the four women have and how they are there for each other no matter what comes.
