First published in 1920, this book contains the first volume of Nicolas Camille Flammarion's "Death and its Mystery", which deals with the age-old question of what happens when you die. In this volume, Flammarion concentrates on the soul and explores a variety of historical cases and investigations that purport to prove the existence thereof, examining their validity in light of scientific facts. A prolific writer, he produced over fifty books including science fiction novels, works on astronomy, and works on physical research.
