Now on the run from the killer will she escape the aftershocks from the quake and outwit the person who wants her dead? This was a very intense story. You never knew who to trust or when there would be another earth tremor! The story told of mistakes and forgiveness, friendships tested, and the overwhelming love that God has for His children.

Get strapped in, hang on tight for a fast paced, energetic roller coaster ride that has your emotions all over the place. Stella is a strong, single mom who has someone trying to kill her but why is the question and when you add in the danger of an earthquake and being in Yosemite cut off from help you are in for an adventure especially when one of the people you are stranded with is your ex and does not know he fathered your child. I loved Von’s Faith journey that was so heartfelt and his K-9 had me gushing as he protects and plays with baby Hannah. The descriptive writing has you looking over your shoulder and also picturing the destruction from the earthquake. This one had me guessing till almost the end to figure everything out. An adrenaline fueled ride that leaves you wanting more please. An entertaining read that was very enjoyable.

Trapped in Yosemite by Dana Metink is a work of Christian Fiction, and this novel is full of suspense. Set in Yosemite when the ground is still icy and unstable, Vonn Sharpe, a K-9 handler, fears the worst when he sees an SUV go off the road and crash. He experiences shock when he realizes his ex-fiancée, Stella Rivers, was the one driving.

Discovering he has a baby daughter who also had a twin brother who did not survive, Vonn and his K-9 Bear set out to keep them safe. I loved seeing how Dana Mentink built the suspense, storylines, and characters in this book.

I feel like many more stories could come from the different characters in this book. As always, this book lived up to my expectations for a book by Dana Mentink.

This book is one of those that you can’t put down. The main female character Stella is fierce, determined and in danger. A simple phone call to go look at some trees that may be infected with something turns into much more. I could feel the cold weather as she trudged up the mountain to meet the person who called her. it was a little uncomfortable to meet a stranger in an isolated area but Stella is determined to prove she knows her job and can this man save his trees. When a shot rings out, one person is dead and the other is in survival mode.

With an unexpected earthquake everything suddenly changes as people are trapped in the Yosemite National Park and Stella runs into her ex fiancé. That seemed a bit awkward but she must rely on Von. Putting their differences aside they must work together if they are going to survive. The author with first hand knowledge describes an earthquake with an almost eerie feeling. One minute everything is fine then a second later the ground beneath starts to disappear.

I loved the suspense in the book and couldn’t wait to see who was trying to kill Stella and why. The relationship between her and Von are delicate at times but the authors excellent writing gives us a front row seat to a transformation happen. Faith plays a big part in the story and I loved how I was captivated by each moment in the book.

I loved this story of love, danger, secrets and redemption. I loved the romance and the action. I really enjoyed Von and Stella and their journey of rediscovery. I loved learning all the secrets of the people in this camp. I did not want to put the book down. I received a copy of the book from the publisher for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will. ( )
