A wonderful hot and steamy read!! I really dig this series!! Good stories with intriguing plots. And oh the steam factor is high!! ( )

Bookworm Em Charvez goes to London to research a book of magic that might lead to the destruction of the magical Compact that gives her family power. Once there, she meets a handsome man named Con, who shows a great deal of interest in her. Conchobar MacNessa, a ten-thousand-year-old Faerie warrior, has been sent by his queen to monitor her activities.

Mostly, I enjoyed this story. Em is interesting and grows to believe in herself over the course of the story. Con is also an interesting character with an unexpected sweet side. (Actually, on reflection, he's kind of a Mary Sue.) I had a hard time suspending my disbelief about why a 10,000 year old Faerie is interested in Em -- not that she's not very engaging, but out of the many, many people he's been with over the centuries, why lifebond with her?

A minor frustration though, with an otherwise sweet story. ( )
